Dr. Jonathan Platt is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Iowa’s College of Public Health. Dr. Platt’s research integrates social theory with causal inference methods to better understand how systems of social stratification influence mental health disorders and disparities. Ms. Rose-Angele Mizose is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds using trauma-informed interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and a psychodynamic perspective.
