Congratulations to Professor Mark Blumberg on his recent election to the CLAS Executive

Committee! The Executive Committee duties are outlined in the CLAS Manual of Policy and Procedure and some of them includes assisting the Dean in the formulation of collegiate administrative decisions and judgments; advising the Dean in the conduct of the college business; conferring with the Dean on matters of policy regarding the professional welfare of the Faculty; and reviewing the standing and reputation of the College and its individual departments and units in order to make recommendations to the Faculty for improvement.

Professor Blumberg will serve for 3 years as one of nine members who are elected from and by tenured faculty within the college and will be one of two members to represent the Natural and Mathematical Sciences.
