Dr. Ece Demir-Lira, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, has received a grant from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute for Child Health and Human Development. Her project will investigate how late premature birth and parental factors interact in influencing preschool children’s numerical and spatial development. Dr. Demir-Lira also recently received support from the University of Iowa Prevention Research Centers to extend this project to children living in rural Iowa.
