Undergraduate Elissa Monteiro Receives 2017 Student Presentation Award from Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science

Psychology undergraduate student Elissa Monteiro was named as a recipient of the 2017 Student Presentation Award from the Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS). She presented her work, “Do Neuropsychological Deficits Mediate Links between Childhood ADHD Symptoms and Substance Use and Problems in Adulthood” at the National Diversity in STEM Conference in Salt Lake City in October.  Elissa is also a participant in the Iowa Biosciences Academy, is an ICRU scholar, and is working under the supervision of Professor Molly Nikolas
