Plasticity in the Sleeping Brain During Development
Studies in adults have shown that memories are benefited by sleep. This benefit reflects the process of memory consolidation which is enhanced by physiological states during sleep. These physiological states change with development. In my talk, I will present data illustrating these changes and, importantly, how these developmental changes are reflected in memory and executive function in early childhood.
