Living WELL: A Web-Based Program to Improve Quality of Life in Rural and Urban Ovarian Cancer Survivors
Living WELL is a new web-based program to connect ovarian cancer survivors to other survivors around the country and improve their quality of life and well-being. This study has recently been funded by the National Cancer Institute. The interventions will be delivered using web-based group conferencing to help reach rural populations with less access to clinic-based support systems. Participants are randomized to a Mindful Living Program which teaches strategies for managing stress and coping and a Healthy Lifestyles program which provides important health information for ovarian cancer survivors. Involvement includes a web-based group meeting for 1.5-2 hours/week for 10 weeks. The groups meet via the web so participants can join from home.
