Trevor Lee Cline
Trevor is a junior pursuing a B.S. in Psychology. He is interested in how behavior affects and connects different areas of the brain, and how neural pathways predict behavior. He plans on attending graduate school for Biological Psychology. When not in the lab, Trevor can be found on hiking trails, at the shooting range, or teaching fitness classes at the University Rec Center.
Jillian is a junior majoring in Psychology and Human Physiology. She is interested in how mental health and well-being affeects athlet peformance, and would like to become a sport psychologist for the MLB. In her free time she enjoys biking, painting, and watching the Cubs.
Keely Paus is a Junior from Dorchester, IA, pursuing a B.S. in Human Physiology and a minor Psychology. She is interested in the long-term benefits of exercise on bodily and mental health. After graduation, she plans on attending graduate school for Physical Therapy. When not in the lab, Keely can be found out on the river with the University of Iowa Women’s Rowing team, as well as outdoors enjoying a book or time with friends.
Phillip is a non-traditional undergraduate student with a degree already in Classical Studies. He is currently pursuing a B.A. in Psychology and is particularly interested in Health Psychology; how the mind and body relate to one another and the intricate interactions that occur between them. When not in the lab or studying for school, he enjoys reading, playing cards with his family, or teaching acrobatic yoga in the community.
Ellen is a junior majoring in Neuroscience on the Pre-Medicine track. She is particularly interested in brain plasticity as related to memory and aging. After graduation, she plans to attend medical school and someday become an Emergency Medicine doctor. Whenever she has free time, Ellen enjoys hot yoga, cooking, trying new coffee shops, and hiking.
Danielle is a junior from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She is pursuing majors in Neuroscience and Dance on the Pre-Medicine track. She is interested in the effects of physical activity on the brain and would like to continue research in her future career as a doctor. In her free time she enjoys exercising, working on flower arrangements, and having coffee with friends.
Jenna is a junior from Dubuque, Iowa and is majoring in Psychology and Health and Human Physiology. She is interested in how physical activity affects the brain in the long-term and how this can help to maximize quality of life. She plans to attend graduate school for health psychology or neuropsychology. In her free time, Jenna enjoys biking, spending time with friends and family, and playing snare drum for the Hawkeye Marching Band.
Arshaq is a junior undergraduate student at the University of Iowa studying Neuroscience on the pre-medicine track. He is fascinated by neuroimaging correlates of mental illnesses and how neuromodulation may be used to treat them. He hopes to go to medical school and potentially specialize in neurology, neurosurgery or psychiatry. In his free time, Arshaq enjoys playing chess, following the NBA, and watching movies.
Julia is a junior from Hastings, Minnesota majoring in Neuroscience on the Pre-Occupational Therapy track. She is interested in how exercise positively effects mental elasticity and how the findings of these types of experiments can be utilized to benefit the older population. After graduation she plans to pursue a Masters in Occupational Therapy to one day work in a hospital or skilled nursing facility. In her free time, Julia enjoys painting, baking, and rollerblading with friends.
