Dr. Elissa Epel, Ph.D, is a Professor, and Vice Chair, in the Department of Psychiatry, at University of California, San Francisco. Her research aims to elucidate mechanisms of healthy aging, and to apply this basic science to scalable interventions that can reach vulnerable populations. Read more about her research program here. She has a degree in Psychology (BA) and earned her PhD in clinical health psychology at Yale University. She has received numerous awards recognizing the significance and innovation of her research. She will talk about her research and career path, with a student-led round-table to follow.
